Each year, readers of the Burlington-based Seven Days weekly paper pick their favorite restaurants, artists, stores, festivals, journalists, personalities, and media in the area where Seven Days is delivered. 2018 was the 11th consecutive year that Vermont Public Radio has been voted Best News Radio Station.

Vermont Edition was recognized in the Talk Show - Local, Non-Commercial category for its 2016 program, "Ladies, Let's Talk." The Graciesare presented by the Alliance For Women In Media and honor outstanding national and local work created for women, by women, and about women.

VPR's facility expansion and renovation project at our Colchester headquarters was awarded Efficiency Vermont's Best of the Best Award for commercial new construction. The awards recognize innovative and integrated design approaches for energy efficiency in Vermont’s commercial and residential buildings.

Each year, readers of the Burlington-based Seven Days weekly paper pick their favorite restaurants, artists, stores, festivals, journalists, personalities, and media in the area where Seven Days is delivered. This is the seventh year in a row Vermont Public Radio has been voted Best Radio Station. Vermont Edition Host Jane Lindholm picked up the first Daysie awarded for Best Radio Host, while Morning Edition with Mitch Wertlieb won in the new category of Best Morning Show.

National PRNDI Awards
Vermont Public Radio was recognized by the Public Radio News Directors Inc. (PRNDI) with two national awards for its news reporting in 2012.  Vermont Edition was recognized for its program, “Tiny Houses, Big Statement,” a program exploring the design, building, and living in homes under 300 square feet. The VPR news team received an award for its All Things Considered newscast for October 29, 2012, the night Hurricane Sandy bore down on Vermont.

Each year, readers of the Burlington-based Seven Days weekly paper pick their favorite “best” restaurants, artists, stores, festivals, journalists, politicians in the area where Seven Days is delivered. After several years as runner-up, VPR was voted best radio station.

Benchmarks for Public Radio Fundraising Award
DEI, public radio's fundraising and marketing professional organization awarded their first Benchmarks award to VPR. Of the 98 stations surveyed in the recent DEI Benchmarks report, Vermont Public Radio was consistently near the 90th percentile for individual giving per listener hour, underwriting revenue per listener hour, major giving as a percent of individual giving, and has one of the lowest costs per dollar raised in the industry.

My Source Radio Testimonials Award:
The Corportation for Public Broadcasting's My Source Radio Contest challenged stations to gather and produce creative, authentic, and meaningful listener testimonials that embody the core values of public radio.
