Before coming to NHPR, Michael worked for eight years at The Telegraph of Nashua, covering education and working as the metro editor. Michael started his career in journalism working as a reporter for the Derry News. Michael is a New Hampshire native, born and raised in Nashua. He studied journalism at Keene State College. When he's not reporting, Michael can often be found searching for the best burrito in the Granite State and scouring local record stores for some classic vinyl.

President-elect Donald Trump is alleging there was quote-serious voter fraud in New Hampshire and other states during the election earlier this month, despite no evidence to back up such a claim.

Trump narrowly lost New Hampshire to Hillary Clinton, though won the election despite losing the overall popular vote.

In a series of tweets Sunday, Trump claimed he would have won the popular vote had it not been for the quote-millions of people who voted illegally.
