The Vermont Agency of Natural Resources is seeking public comment on the future of the largest wildlife management area in the state in the Northeast Kingdom.
Since 1999, the Vermont Agency of Natural Resources has managed the 23,000-acre West Mountain wildlife area for conservation and public access. It has also managed a public access easement on adjacent lands now belonging to the Plum Creek Timber Company.
The state would like to hear from the public about what could be improved and what people value most about the land. Two more public meetings will be held late in the fall.
