Aguas De Marco And The Mississippi Delta Blues

Happy March!  We are orienting ourselves toward the spring thaw with electrotrad from Quebec, another wave of interesting new releases, great local music, and Jimmie Rodgers, the bard of Meridian, Mississippi!

This program will air on Sunday March 1st from 7 - 10 p.m.

This week's calendar announcements:

Big Spike Bluegrass will be playing at the Palmer Street Coffeehouse in Plattsburgh on Friday March 6th at 7:30 p.m.

On Sunday March 8th, Bramblewood, featuring Carol Hausner, Danny Coane, & Colin McCaffrey, will perform at the Skinny Pancake in Montpelier at 5:30 p.m.

Petit Campus in Montreal presents The Fortunate Ones, a duo from Newfoundland, on Thursday March 5th. Doors open at 7:30, and music begins at 8 p.m.

Pete’s Posse, featuring Pete Sutherland, Tristan Henderson, and Oliver Scanlon, will perform at the Ripton Community Coffeehouse on Saturday March 7th.  The fabulous open mic begins at 7:30 p.m., followed by the featured performers.

The Monadnock Folklore Society presents the Peterborough NH First Saturday Contra Dance on March 7th, featuring Dave Eisenstadter calling with Rodney Miller and Jeremiah McLane providing the music at the Peterborough Town Hall. The dancing begins at 8 p.m., with an optional introductory workshop beforehand. The dance also hosts an open jam session for beginning and intermediate musicians from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.

At Bagitos in Montpelier, Jeremy Harple joins Colin McCaffrey on Thursday March 5th at 6 p.m.

The Hillside Rounders will be performing on Wednesday March 4th at the Dibden Center at Johnson State College at 7 p.m. and on Friday March 6th at the Whammy Bar in Calais, also at 7 p.m.

Laura Molinelli and the Bondville Boys will be playing at The Wheststone Station in Brattleboro on Tuesday March 3rd at 8 p.m.

J.D. MacPherson and his Band will be at Higher Ground’s Showcase Lounge in South Burlington on Thursday March 5th  

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
