Art Hounds: Arts Fest, Plays And Summer Concerts

Painting on ceramic by 93-year-old Vermont artist Klara Calitri, whose retrospective show is at Jackson Gallery in Middlebury's Town Hall Theater through July.

Catch a performance in the newly air-conditioned playhouse in Hyde Park, see paintings and ceramics by a 93-year-old artist in Middlebury and pack a picnic to enjoy at an outdoor concert series in Middlesex.

Through July 10, various show times, Hyde Park Opera House in Hyde Park: Once Upon A Mattress performed by the Lamoille County Players, suggested by Patty Jacob from Jeffersonville.

Saturday, July 9 from 4 to 8 p.m. in Woodstock: Collective – The Art of Craft 10th Year Anniversary Celebration, suggested by Marcia Hammond from East Brookfield.

Saturday, July 9 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Town Hall Theater’s Jackson Gallery: Opening reception for Klara Calitri exhibit of paintings, prints and ceramics, suggested by Thea Martin.

Wednesdays through August at 6:30 p.m. near the Rumney School in Middlesex: The Martha Pellerin and Andy Shapiro Memorial Bandstand Summer Concert Series in Middlesex, recommended by Margot Prendergast.

Friday, July 8 from 5:30 to 10 p.m. and Saturday, July 9 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. in Waterbury:  Revitalizing Waterbury's Waterbury Arts Fest and Friday Night Block Party at various locations in downtown Waterbury, suggested by Karen Nevin.
