Art Hounds: Bach, Bella's Bartok And The Bellows Falls Holiday Train

The Sharon Academy takes two weeks away from classes to rehearse and perform each year. This weekend, the students will perform, "The Pirates of Penzance" at Chandler Music Hall in Randolph.

This weekend, look forward to a dance party at Nectar's, classical Christmas music, holiday train rides and pirates on stage.

Friday and Saturday, Nov. 18 and 19 at 7 p.m. at Chandler Music Hall in Randolph: “The Pirates of Penzance" performed by Sharon Academy students recommended by Paige Bissaillon from Sharon.

Saturday, Nov. 19 at 9 p.m. at Nectar’s in Burlington: Bella’s Bartokplaying Klezmer/punk dance music with Mal Maiz suggested by Kara Kharmah from Amherst, Massachusetts.

Saturday, Nov. 19 at 7:30 p.m. at Elley Long Music Center in Colchester: Bach’s Christmas Oratorioperformed by Burlington Choral Society, holiday music with Baroque instruments suggested by Joyce Hendley from South Burlington. 

Sunday, Nov. 20 at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Bellows Falls Train Station: Bellows Falls Santa Express Holiday Train Ridewith student musicians, circus and magic acts and holiday book readings from costumed characters suggested by Sara Wunderle from Bellows Falls.

Sunday, Nov. 20 at 3 p.m. at Smiley Auditorium, Montpelier High School:“A Feast of Suites” performance by Capital City Concerts, featuring flutist Karen Kevra recommended by Adam Ginsburg from Bristol.
