Art Hounds: Big Band & Bright Paint

Marie Bouffard of Colchester recommended the Count Basie Orchestra big band concert at Colchester high School on Wednesday, March 5 at 7 p.m. Call the CHS box office at (802) 264-5729 for tickets and information.

Valley Arts Director Karen Nevin suggested the Milton painter Lorraine Manley's latest exhibit called Luminous Vermont at Festival Gallery in Waitsfield. There is an artist's reception on Sunday, March 9th.

Art lover Jamie Walker of Burlington recommended the Mary Lou Marcussen exhibit at Peak Performancein Williston. The art show grand opening is Friday, February 28 from 5 to 7 p.m.

Musician Peg Tassey suggested an evening of bluegrass with Bramblewood, a group made up of Carole Hausner and other local musicians.

The group play Thursday, February 27th from 7 till 10 p.m. at Sweet Melissa's on Langdon Street in Montpelier.
