Art Hounds: Carving

Thursdays at 4:50 p.m. and Fridays at 7:55 a.m.

This week, several Art Hounds suggested  Stefanie Rocknak’s exhibit at The Carving Studio in West Rutland, including Brandon artist Fran Bull, who describes Rocknak's work as "wondrous figments of a beautiful imagination."

Rocknak's pieces are on display through August 16th.

Ted Schiffman from Haverill, New Hampshire recommended the well-loved, family favorite, "Peter and the Wolf," as staged by the National Marionette Company in Brattleboro. That performance takes place this Saturday at 4 p.m.

Karen Nevin, director of Valley Arts, highly recommends taking in some local artists’ latest watercolors in theGreen Mountain Watercolor Exhibition.

The paintings are in the rustic Red Barn Gallery at American Flatbread Waitsfield Hearth through July 28th. The gallery is open Thursday through Sunday from noon to 9 p.m.
