Art Hounds: Dancing for Puppets

Jennifer Nachbur of Burlington suggested the Third Annual Dance Showcase to benefit Puppets in Education, on Saturday, January 19th at 7 p.m., at the Black Box Theatre at Main Street Landing.

The showcase has an impressive and diverse roster, with dancers from Jeh Kuhlu to ballet dancers from Spotlight on Dance as well as swing dancers and more.

You can purchase tickets through flynntix.org or the Puppets in Education website.

Irene Clarke of North Hero, Vermont, called in about the 2nd Annual Meet the Artist night on Saturday, February 2nd at Grand Isle Art Works.

You can enjoy an evening rubbing shoulders with the artisans whose works are on display, shop for gifts and enjoy hors d'oeuvres from Chef Zach.

The event is from 5:30 to 8 at the gallery.

Jay Craven of Kingdom County Productions urged listeners to see the production of Ganesh Versus The Third Reich, at the Hopkins Center at Dartmouth College.

He caught the show on a recent trip to New York City and says theater-goers will appreciate the caliber and depth of the actors who weave a story within a story onstage.
