Art Hounds: Festive

BarnArts Center for the Arts

Art teacher Marianne McCann  from Chelsea suggestedMark Goodwin's abstract art exhibit at the Spotlight Gallery in Montpelier, which runs through June 28th with an opening on June 7th.

Chuck Malerich of Bridgewater called in to recommend the American folk opera, "Porgy and Bess" in concert at Barnard's First Universalist Church this Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m.

Waitsfield and Fayston art teacher Nora McDonough suggested the brand new Bridge Street Art Fair in Waitsfield this Saturday from 2 till 8.

Photographer and artist Seth Butler of Barnard wrote in to Art Hounds, urging listeners not to miss theBigTown Gallery "Masterworks" exhibition in Rochester.

The exhibit, which includes works from Dali and Marcel Duchamp is up through July 28th. This Saturday at BigTown, Michael Taylor, director of the Hood Museum of Art and scholar of Dada and Surrealism will present an informal discussion on works from the exhibit.
