"Pet The Nice Kitty With The Thimble"

Thursday at 4:55 p.m. and Friday at 7:55 a.m.

Christy Mitchell, owner and director of the S.P.A.C.E. Gallery in Burlington called the VPR Art Hounds hotline to recommend an exhibit at BCA Center in Downtown Burlington, called, “User Required.”

There are two floors of interactive art work and the exhibit is up through May 18th.

Underhill artist Mark Smith recommends taking in the Marc Awodey retrospective, "Painting IS The Object" at Union Station in Burlington, as this may be one of the last times the collection is exhibited.

The event is up through this weekend.

And ECHO Center’s Steve Perkins called the hotline about the Art & Soul auction and art sale at the law firm of Dunkiel and Saunders on College Street in Burlington, Thursday, June 6th.

Artists are encouraged to submit works. The artwork needn't be new, but it should--as posted on the event page--be "related to ECHO’s mission, which is to educate and delight people about the ecology, culture, history and opportunity for stewardship of the Lake Champlain Basin."

Submission deadline is Friday, May 3rd.

Eugenie Doyle of Bristol suggests a performance next Wednesday of what she considers, “the best dancers in Vermont.”

Town Hall Theater in Middlebury will host dancers Patty Smith, Shelly Ismail and Karen Amirault along with several of their dance students, performing solos and duets.

Doyle writes, “These three artists are true Vermont treasures, rare combinations of expert performers and teachers, and this performance is a unique opportunity to see them in one evening celebration of dance, life, experience.”
