Art Hounds: Keeping The River Clean And Five Years Since Irene

Connecticut River Watershed Council
The Connecticut River Watershed Project has an art installation focusing on community members' artwork and poetry called "The Power of Water, The Power of Words."

Commemorate Tropical Storm Irene's fifth anniversary with song in Grafton and celebrate ways to keep our rivers clean with an art installation in Brattleboro.

Saturday, August 27 at 1 p.m. on Grafton Library Lawn in Grafton: Indie rock band The Wilderness performs a free concert for the five-year anniversary of Tropical Storm Irene, suggested by Diana Lawrence from Grafton. Rain location is the white church on Main Street.

Saturday, August 27 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Montgomery Village Green: Harvest Fest with plants, fresh produce, homemade foods, arts and crafts, suggested by Catherine O’Neill in Montgomery Center. For information, call Jane at (802) 326-3156.

Friday, September 2 from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. during Gallery Walk at The River Garden, Brattleboro: Connecticut River Watershed Council presents the art installation,"The Power of Water, The Power Of Words." The display is up through September 30, suggested by Elayne Ryba from Greenfield.

Through September 12 at S.P.A.C.E. Gallery, Burlington: Call to artists for  S.P.A.C.E. Gallery’s annual "Art of Horror" show.
