Art Hounds: The Kora, Haydn, Arias & Duets

Sean Gaskell plays the kora, a 21-stringed instrument from West Africa, at the Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro on Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m.

Catch a kora concert at the library in Brattleboro, hear former voice students singing arias and duets at St. Michael's and an 80-voice choral ensemble sings rare pieces by Haydn.

Friday, April 15 at 7 p.m.: Sean Gaskell plays the West African kora at the Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro. Suggested by Mary Mathias, a member of Write Action, a writers group in Brattleboro.

Sunday, April 17 at 4 p.m.: Former Bill Reed Voice Studio students Geoffrey Penar and Christopher Colmenero sing Art Songs, Arias And Duets as part of the Singers' Art Concert Series at St. Michael's College McCarthy Arts Center in Colchester. Suggested by Paul from Shelburne, a member of the Chittenden County Opera Lovers.

Saturday, April 23 at 7:30 p.m.: Burlington Choral Society's Hidden Haydn concert at the Elley Long Music Center in Colchester as suggested by Joyce Hendley, a music lover from South Burlington.
