Art Hounds: Opera, Installation Art And A Poets' League

Performers from the Echo Valley Community Players perform a '60s English version of Mozart's opera, 'Cosi fan Tutte.'

This weekend, you can join a poets' group and take in an opera and a string quartet.

Friday through Sunday, Oct. 21 to 23 at Plainfield Opera House in Plainfield: Mozart’s Cosi Fan Tutte,’  presented by Echo Valley Community Arts Center, a troupe of 20-something Vermont opera singers with a few veterans in the mix, suggested by Susan Boutwell of Hartland.

Saturday, Oct. 22 from 3 to 5 p.m. at Mascoma Bank Building in Chelsea:SafeArt and The Arts Bus Open House suggested by Amy Grasmick of Randolph.

Sunday, Oct. 23 at 4 p.m. at White Church in Westford: FREVO Quartetperforming an eclectic mix of music with flute, cello, clarinet and guitar suggested by Susan Lloyd of Westford.

Sunday, Oct. 23 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m at Shelburne Farms in Shelburne: Final weekend of the exhibit,Of Land And Local with site-specific installations from artist Michael Zebrowski.

Monday, Oct. 24 from 5 to 7 p.m. at Kellogg Hubbard Library in Montpelier: Mountainclature League of Poetsmeeting with poetry, music and round-table discussion on how poets can better address issues of the day suggested by Toussaint St. Negritude of Montpelier.
