Friday, September 16 from 5 to 7 p.m. at St. Paul’s Cathedral, Burlington: Opening reception for a solo exhibition of 22 of Janet McKenzie’s sacred paintings, suggested by Jeanne Finan, cathedral dean.
Saturday, September 17 at Barnard Unitarian Church and Sunday, September 18 at Woodstock Universalist Church, both at 4 p.m.: Sarah Saul’s retelling of the Genesis story, an original oratorio titled, “The First Seven Days,” featuring dance, music and puppetry, suggested by Peg Brightman from Woodstock.
Saturday, September 17 at Unitarian Church in Montpelier at 7:30 p.m. and Sunday, September 18 at 4 p.m. at Champlain Valley Unitarian Universalist Church in Middlebury:"The Dove And The Hawk", produced by flutist Karen Kevra, with works by Schumann and Shostakovich with Theodore Arm and Jeewon Park, suggested by Diana Fanning of Addison.
Sunday, September 18 at 2 p.m. at The Castleton Downtown Annex in Rutland: "The Syrian Experience As Art" through January 2017 features 12 artists with Skype question-and-answer session with artist Dr. Khaled Youseff, suggested by Victoria Crain, art correspondent for The Rutland Herald.
Friday, September 30 at NextStage Arts in Putney: Adam Strauss’ “The Mushroom Cure,” a real-life story of one man’s quest to treat his OCD symptoms through psychedelic mushrooms, suggested by Maria Basescu from Putney.
