Art Hounds: Senator's Eye

This week, Libby Hillhouse, a musician and photojournalist, urges listeners to visit the gallery at Catamount Arts in St. Johnsbury to see the "Eye of Senator Leahy" photographic exhibit.

Senator Patrick Leahy will be on-hand at the gallery on Friday, August 9th from 5 till 7 for the opening reception.

Jewelry designer Joann Katherine recommends the "Art With A Splash" evening on Monday, August 26th at their studios in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.

The event is designed for artists of all levels to come, paint and enjoy beer or wine if they so choose, with the proceeds benefiting the Portsmouth SPCA.

Writer James Moore of Winooski suggests The Poor Sister Clares dance performances this weekend in Burlington and Montpelier as performed by Dance Tramp - a collective of experimental Vermont-based dance artists.
