Art Hounds: Serkin, Sheehan & Sandglass

Laura Lewis of Guilford suggests a performance by renowned cellists, Judith Serkin and Paul Wiancko, at the Guilford Free Library on Saturday, September 7th.  The concert will benefit the library.

Evan Langfeldt is on the board of the Shelburne Craft School and recommends a trip to the FlynnDOG Gallery to see the large-scale paintings, "Water Above, Sky Below." 

The show features paintings and other works by Vermont artists Homer Wells, Rory Jackson, Ross Sheehan and Duker Bower as part of the South End Art Hop, beginning this weekend.

Alice Freeman of Newfane suggests a biennial event staged on the landscaped lawns of Putney garden designers Gordon and Mary Hayward.

"Puppets in Paradise" is Sandglass Theater's two-day event, taking place Saturday and Sunday, September 7th and 8th with outdoor theatrical performances and music.
