Art Hounds: Serving Up Art In The City And Down On The Farm

August 22nd & 23rd, Thursday at 4:50 p.m., Friday at 7:55 a.m.

ArtsRiothosts the South End Truck Stop on Pine Street in Burlington every Friday.  Local art, music and food.  On August 30th, author Jan Reynolds will launch her 17th book, High-Altitude Woman, welcoming it into the world with a multi-media presentation on her many high-altitude explorations and a gallery show of her photographs.  ArtsRiot is also opening their first Social Design Competition next month.  The theme is "Destroy Apathy”.

Fable Farm is a Community Supported Agriculture (CSA) project located in Barnard.  They throw a party every Friday for their CSA pickup patrons with music and food.  And every year, they put on a play.  Crimes of the Heart, by Beth Henley is being performed August 23, 24, 29, 30, 31.

The Fisk Farm Pro-Series Classical Concert this weekend features prodigy Bryan Cheng (age 15) and his sister Silvie Cheng.  The concert, presented by the Isle La Motte Preservation Trust, is Saturday evening at 7:30.
