Art Hounds: Uke Flash Mob, Masquerade Ball And Musical Memoir

The arts council in Windham County is holding a masquerade ball and Mexican Day Of The Dead celebration with dancing, costumes and an arts auction.

This weekend, enjoy storytelling, a masquerade ball, a uke flash mob and more.

Thursday, Oct. 27 at 7 p.m. at Twigg’s in St. Albans: Tell It At Twigg’s, with local amateur storytellers and some ringers, too. Proceeds benefit non-profit arts organizations in Franklin County, suggested by Terry Cleveland.

Friday, Oct. 28 at 8 p.m. at The River Garden in Brattleboro:  Arts Council of Windham County’s Masquarade Ball and Mexican Day of the Dead with music from Serious Coyote and artwork raffle, suggested by Susan Rosano from Guilford.

Friday, Oct. 28 at 6 p.m. at Brooks House in Brattleboro: Ukelele Flash Mob Two, all levels welcome to play, watch and sing, recommended by Gail Nunziata.

Thursday to Sunday, Nov. 3 to Nov. 5 at Alumni Auditorium, Champlain College, Burlington: "Blue Stockings," college faculty and students perform a play set in 1896 about first-ever female graduates from Cambridge University, suggested by Emma Rose of St. Michael's College.

Friday, Nov. 4 at 7 p.m. at Brooks Memorial Library in Brattleboro:Samirah Evans benefit concert, “How The Heck Did I Get To Vermont?” a musical memoir, suggested by Mary Mathias from Brattleboro.

Wednesday, Nov. 8 at Rutland Jewish Center in Rutland: Israel Beyond The Headlines, film festival series, suggested by Martha Molnar.
