Budget And Beyond: A Statehouse Check-In

The Vermont Senate passed a budget and approved $34.2 million in new taxes last week - rejecting most most of the cuts proposed late in the game by Governor Shumlin. The Governor, meanwhile, quietly signed the gun bill that he called a "shadow" of the legislation that was originally proposed.

We talk to political reporters Neal Goswami, Vermont Press Bureau chief, and Paul Heintz, political editor and columnist for Seven Days, about what's been happening at the Statehouse and what's next.

Plus, looking for Willis Hicks. A decades-old photograph from an exhibition showed a man that many recognized. VPR went on a mission to learn more about him.
