Men’s and women’s lacrosse have some significant differences in rules, especially around contact in the sport. That’s partly why it’s even more notable that a female lacrosse player would be recruited by a men’s lacrosse team.

Devon Wills played lacrosse at Dartmouth, and she’s been asked to try out for a men’s Major League Lacrosse team, the New York Lizards.

VPR’s Ric Cengeri spoke with Wills about professional lacrosse and breaking a gender barrier.

Ric was a producer for Vermont Edition and host of the VPR Cafe.
