Flexible Working Arrangement Law Takes Effect

During the 2013 Legislative session, Act 31 was passed. The Act included provisions that strengthened Vermont’s Equal Pay Act, which was originally passed in 2002.

While most provisions of Act 31 went into effect last summer, the Flexible Working Arrangements provision didn’t become binding until January 1st.

Cary Brown, the executive director of the Vermont Commission on Women recently spoke with Vermont Edition to explain more about this new provision.
