Join Reuben Jackson on Friday Night Jazz this Friday night at 8 p.m. when he welcomes alto saxophonist Brian McCarthy for a preview of "The Better Angels Of Our Nature."
The project, commissioned by the Vermont Arts Council and the National Endowment for the Arts re-imagines music and events from the American Civil War through the language of jazz.
Joining McCarthy in the performance are Bill Mobley on trumpet, Daniel Ian Smith and Stantawn Kendrick on tenor saxophone, Cameron MacManus on trombone, Linda Little on baritone saxophone, Justin Kauflin on piano, Matt Aronoff on bass and Zach Harmon on drums.
