The Gales of November - And Some Live Tango Music !

The Alejandro Ziegler Tango Quartet, playing live this week in Burlington !

The 87th anniversary of the deadly 1927 floods, the 39th anniversary of the wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald, and, on a happier note, an incredible variety of live music in the VPR listening area this week!

This program airs on Sunday November 9th from 7 - 10 p.m.

The PM Sunday series at the Richmond Congragational Church presents the Honey Dewdrops on Sunday November 16th at 4 p.m.

 McBride & Lussen will be appearing at the Bee's Knees in Morrisville on Saturday November 15th  at 7:30 p.m.

The Jericho Café & Tavern on Route 15 in Jericho presents Morrissey and Resnik on Friday November 14th at 7 p.m.

Next Stage Arts Project and Twilight Music present veteran folk/rock icon Jonathan Edwards plus singer/songwriter Lisa McCormick and newgrass/contemporary folk trio The Stockwell Brothers at Next Stage in Putney on Sunday November 16th at 7:30 p.m.

Alan Greenleaf and the Doctor will be playing at Schillings Brewpub, Littleton, NH on Friday, November 14th  from 7-10 p.m.

Bagitos in Montpelier presents Andy Pitt on Thursday November 13th at 6 p.m.  

Bramblewood, featuring Carol Hausner, Danny Coane & Colin McCaffrey, will perform at Sweet Melissa’s in Montpelier on Thursday November 13th at 8 p.m. 

A Benefit Concert for Ebola relief in W. Africa will be held at the Inn at the Long Trail in Killington on Sunday November 16th from 4 – 7 p.m. featuring Gypsy Reel and Extra Stout.

The Bluegrass Gospel Project will perform at the Vergennes Opera House on Saturday November 15th at 7:30 p.m.

John McCutcheon will perform on Sunday, November 16th  at 7 p.m. at the First Baptist Church, 190 Main St., Brattleboro.

The Yonder Mountain String Band will be playing at Higher Ground in South Burlington on Wednesday November 12th 

Run Boy Run, a string band from Tucson,  will be performing on the mainstage at the Chandler Music Hall in Randolph on Saturday November 15th. 

Fish and Bird will perform at the Casa del Popolo in Montreal on Saturday November 15th at 9 p.m.

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
