This is a time in the school year when high school seniors who are going on to college are getting some clarity on exactly where they’re going and what it will cost.
But exactly which Vermont students are in that position of moving on to college is an uneven picture in Vermont. As VPR reported last week, a new study shows that males are noticeably less likely than females to pursue college, and there are also geographical gaps in which high school seniors continue their education.
That report was released by VSAC, the Vermont Student Assistance Corporation, which helps students arrange financial aid and plan for college.
