This week's program features a live-in-the-studio performance by Vermont folk music icon Pete Sutherland and two very talented young fiddlers. Pete has released the CD Farmland, a collection of songs recorded with young people in northern Vermont - songs he helped them write. On Sunday, Pete Sutherland and two young fiddlers - Oliver Scanlon and Nicholas Babineau - will be on the show for some foot stompin' music and conversation!
All profits from the sale of Farmland benefit Young Tradition Vermont and the Young Writers Project and it's available through the YTV website. The release of the CD coincides with a fundraising campaign by Young Tradition VT to support a youth tour to Northumberland, England in April of 2014.
Also on this week's show, we remember Phil Everly, one half of one of the greatest musical duos of the 20th century.
Broadcast on Sunday, January 12th at 7:00 p.m.
