I Love The Holidays, But ...

11/14/13 at 12p and 7p: Holidays can set high expectations for spending quality time with family. But what if, just sometimes, your family gets on your nerves? That's just one of the tricky social situations we're likely to encounter as the holiday season approaches.

Thursday at noon on Vermont Edition, we talk with etiquette experts from the Emily Post Institute in Burlington about graceful ways to smooth out the wrinkles. Cousins Anna Post and Daniel Post Senning help us navigate holiday tipping, what to do when an office holiday party goes awry, and perennial questions about how to help those certain family members get along better over the holidays.

Also in the program, live music by Kelly Ravin of Bristol. He's a master songsmith who plays roots Americana, folk, and blues. He will be playing live in our Performance Studio, sharing several cuts from his new CD, "Leathered, Weathered, Worn & Wiser." Ravin is also a member of the band Waylon Speed.
