Vermont Technical College is one of the five colleges in the Vermont State College consortium.

There are about 12,000 students enrolled in the five Vermont State Colleges, but the cost of attending and the ability of students to complete their degrees is an increasing concern for state college leaders. On the next Vermont Edition, we talk with Chancellor Jeb Spaulding and with Yasmine Zeisler, chief academic officer of VSC, about how to make the state college system work for Vermonters.

Also in the program, a profile of artist Warren Kimble. The Brandon folk artist's paintings are easily recognizable, with plump cats, picturesque barns and stately roosters. VPR’s Nina Keck sat down with Kimble to talk about the artist's work, his life and turning 80 years old.

Broadcast live on Tues., June 23, 2015 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
