This week's calendar announcements:
Rod MacDonald will be performing in Bennington at the UU Fellowship Meetinghouse Café on Friday July 1st at 8 p.m.
The Dupont Brothers will be at the Ripton Community Coffeehouse on Saturday July 2nd. The fabulous open mic begins at 7:30 followed by the featured performers.
The Monadnock Folklore Society presents the Peterborough, NH First Saturday Contra Dance on July 2nd, featuring Lisa Sieverts calling with Randy Miller, Jeremiah McLane, and Roger Kahle. The dancing begins at 8 p.m. The dance also hosts a free jam session for beginning and intermediate musicians at 6:30 and a workshop for new dancers at 7:30. The dance will be held at the historic Peterborough Town House.
There will be a House Concert in East Montpelier with Ben Miller and Anita MacDonald and friends featuring Scottish Border pipes, Cape Breton fiddle, Gaelic song, piano and guitar on Friday, July 1st at 7 p.m. preceded by a potluck dinner at 6:00 p.m. Reservations are highly encouraged as space is limited. Francesca Blanchard will be playing on the green in Woodstock at noon on Thursday June 30th as part of the Pentangle Arts Summer Concert Series.
The Twangtown Paramours will be performing at the Strafford Town House on the Strafford Common on Friday July 1st at 8 p.m.
Woodchuck’s Revenge will be playing in Quechee on Wednesday, June 29rh on the green at 6:30 p.m.
The Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center in Stowe presents and evening with John McCutcheon on Saturday July 2nd at 8 p.m.
The Chants de Vielles festival will be held in St. Antoine-sur-Richelieu, Quebec on Friday, Saturday and Sunday July 1st through 3rd. Featured performers include Le Vent du Nord, Gregory Jolivet, Paddy Keenan, Daniel Roy, and many more.
