Music As Wild As Our Weather !!

In a state this is known for its wild and ever-changing weather, even seasoned sky-watchers have to admit that the weather this year is especially crazy!  We bid farewell to the soggy month of June with everything from chicken songs to Tom Waits and Keith Richards harmonizing on sea chanteys (really!!)

Calendar announcements for this week's show:

The Garifuna Collective will be performing music from Belize at the Haybarn at Goddard College in Plainfield on Friday July 5th and at Higher Ground in South Burlington on Saturday July 6th with special guest Vieux Farka Toure.

The upstate NY band The Del Water Gap will be performing a July 4th album release show at the Vermont Arts Exchange in North Bennington.  Doors open at 6:00pm.

The Ripton Community Coffeehouse will present Round Mountain on Saturday, July 6th  at 7:30 pm. Open mic begins at 7:30 followed by the featured performers. Please call to reserve a place in the open mic: 388-9782

"Alan Greenleaf and the Doctor" will be appearing at "The Big Picture", Waitsfield, Vt. on Wednesday, July 3rd from 7-9 PM and at the St. Johnsbury Farmers Market on Saturday, July 6th, from 9 AM-1PM.  

On Saturday July 6th  Okemo wishes the U.S.A. a happy birthday with its third annual Red, White & Blues Festival.This free, all-American concert features popular blues artists from 11:30 a.m. to 7 p.m, including The Chris Kleeman Band at 1:30 to 3 p.m.; and The Dave Keller Band from 5:30-7 p.m.

The Berries and Bluegrass Festival will be held at the Basin Harbor Club in Vergennes on Saturday July 6th Featured performers will include Patti Casey, After the Rodeo, and Red Hot Juba and more!

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
