My Place: Motown Songwriter And Record Producer Sylvia Moy

Sylvia Moy is a member of the Songwriters Hall Of Fame. During the 1960's she wrote many hit songs working for Motown Records in Detroit, and she owns the distinction of becoming the first woman to earn the position of record producer at Motown. This week,  relates the story of Sylvia Moy through the many hit songs she wrote and produced in the studio. Memorable recordings by Martha And The Vandellas, Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson are among the selections featured.

Joel has been a part of Vermont's radio scene since 1964. He began his career at WIPS in Ticonderoga, New York. In 1965, he moved to WFAD in Middlebury, Vermont, where he attended Middlebury College. Over the years, Joel worked at radio stations WJOY, WQCR, WDOT, WDEV and WVAA where he served at various times as Morning Announcer, Program Director and News Director.
