A spokeswoman for Quebec's anti-corruption unit says Montreal Mayor Michael Applebaum has been arrested. Five of the bridges damaged or destroyed by Tropical Storm Irene are being re-built this summer. In all 34 bridges were damaged in the storm. Vermont's Department of Public Service is recommending that utility regulators find the Lowell Mountain wind project in violation for exceeding noise limits four times last winter. A 20-year-old New Hampshire man is going to spend 60 days on a Vermont prison work crew after pleading guilty to a variety of charges stemming from a vandalism spree that did more than $80,000 in damage to a high-voltage power line in the town of Concord.

But public radio was where Mitch wanted to be and he eventually moved on to Boston where he worked for six years in a number of different capacities at member station WBUR...as a Senior Producer, Editor, and fill-in co-host of the nationally distributed Here and Now. Mitch has been a guest host of the national NPR sports program "Only A Game". He's also worked as an editor and producer for international news coverage with Monitor Radio in Boston.
