Outdoor Radio: In Search Of The Endangered Timber Rattler

Sep 24, 2015

Biologists Kent McFarland and Sara Zahendra head to central Vermont in search of the Timber Rattlesnake.

They are joined by Doug Blodgett, from the Vermont Fish and Wildlife Department, and Eve Frankel of the Vermont Nature Conservancy. In the 30-minute walk to the site where Timber Rattlesnakes are known to live, the group talks about the habits of this endangered species and how humans are working to help conserve the population.
