Reporters' Roundtable: Pre-Election Preview

VPR
After a campaign that has lasted more than a year, Vermonters will elect a new governor and lieutenant governor on Tuesday.

This election season has been a long and winding road and has seen just about everything.

It included a sustained challenge by Senator Bernie Sanders in an attempt to become the Democratic Presidential nominee. It also saw the top two statewide offices open up for the first time in six years.

A panel of the state's top political reporters looks at all that has transpired and what might be the results when the ballots are counted on Tuesday night.

Terri Hallenbeck of Seven Days, Neal Goswami of the Vermont Press Bureau, and VPR's Pete Hirschfeld discuss Campaign 2016.

Broadcast live on Friday, November 4, 2016 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.

Ric was a producer for Vermont Edition and host of the VPR Cafe.
Bob Kinzel has been covering the Vermont Statehouse since 1981 — longer than any continuously serving member of the Legislature. With his wealth of institutional knowledge, he answers your questions on our series, "Ask Bob."
