A "summer salad" of music, including a new album of acoustic classics by Richard Thompson, a preview of the 9th annual Valley Stage Music Festival in Huntington, some rare Beatles tracks, and Wu Man tearing it up on the Pipa, a Chinese lute.

This program will air on Sunday, August 3 from 7 to 10 p.m.

Woodchuck’s Revenge will appear at the town gazebo in Canaan, NH on Tuesday August 5 at 7 p.m.

The Rusty Nail in Stowe presents  Kat Wright and the Indomitable Soul Band on Saturday August 9.

The Spruce Peak Performing Arts Center is pleased to present “Downtown” Bob Stannard & Those Dangerous Bluesmen featuring Legendary Blues Piano Player David Maxwell on Saturday August 9 at 8 p.m.

Café Lena in Saratoga Springs presents Jamcrackers on Friday August 8 at 8 p.m. and Banjo Pickers in the Round, a special show featuring 5 amazing banjo players on Saturday August 9 at 8 p.m.

Cormac McCarthy will give a free concert at the Claremont, NH opera house on Saturday August 9 at 7 p.m.

Banjo Dan’s Bluegrass Revue returns to the fabulous Haskell Opera House in Derby Line on Friday, August 8 at 7:30 PM.  Banjo Dan and Willy Lindner will perform along with John Henry Drake and special guests Bob Amos and Catamount Crossing.

Renowned Irish musicians Mick Conneely (fiddle / bouzouki) and David Munnelly (accordion / melodeon) will be performing in Randolph at  the Three Bean Cafe on Saturday, August 9 at 7:30 p.m.

The Dave Keller Blues Band will be performing five different times this week in the VPR listening area – check his website davekeller.com for more information!

Rick Norcross and his Ramblers will be at the Addison County Field Days on Saturday August 9 at 7:30 p.m.

The ninth annual Valley Stage Music Festival takes place on Saturday August 9 on Blackbird Swale in Huntington.  Featured performers include The Deadly Gentlemen, The Defibulators, Hot Flannel, and more!

The Swing Peepers will play at the Lyndonville Library on  Friday, August 8 at  11 a.m.

Jeremiah McLane will be playing on the Strafford  Common Green on Tuesday August 5 at 6 p.m. The rain venue is the Strafford town house.

Prydein will perform in the Fairhaven gazebo in the park on Thursday August 7 at 7 p.m.

 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
