Spectator Injured At Addison County Field Days Tractor Pull

A spectator was injured during the tractor pull at the Addison County Fair and Field Days on Saturday.

During the pulling event, a wheel casing broke loose from an International 706 tractor. The wheel then traveled over a concrete barrier and into the crowd. A 75-year-old man was injured.

Field Days Vice President Diane Norris says rescue crews were at the event and were able to treat the man immediately. He was taken to Fletcher Allen Health Care with a leg injury.

Norris says the event organizers were following the regulations on how close spectators can be to the barriers.
