The State Of The State's Cities And Towns

Ric Cengeri
/
VPR
The town of Orwell, in Addison County, had a population of 1,250 as of the 2010 census.

Steven Jeffrey is outgoing executive director of the Vermont League of Cities and Towns. He's held that position for over thirty years. On his way out, we're talking to him about Vermont's local governments and the issues they face, and how the state's towns and cities have changed over the years.

Also, we discuss new election laws, government transparency, and more with Secretary of State James Condos.

And we hear from Richard Fink of Brookfield about the rebirth of the town's historic floating bridge.

Broadcast live on Friday, May 22, 2015 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.

Bob Kinzel has been covering the Vermont Statehouse since 1981 — longer than any continuously serving member of the Legislature. With his wealth of institutional knowledge, he answers your questions on our series, "Ask Bob."
