Stories That Matter: Mitch Wertlieb And Mary Williams

We continue our series about the stories that have mattered to VPR Staff today, with contributions from Mitch Wertlieb and Mary Williams, your morning companions on VPR News.

Mitch: On a recent Story Corps, I heard about a gang of bikers who respond to child abuse reports and send a pretty clear message that the kids are not to be messed with or the perpetrators will be visited again. It was a very different type of Story Corps, but very moving and really a great example of what Story Corps does.

MaryA June interview with author Lionel Shriver on Qwith JianGomeshi prompted me to go out and buy the book.

Share your stories that matter with us at our Facebook page or by tweeting to @vprnet with the hashtag #storiesthatmatter. And, we hope you'll support stories that matter by making a pledge to VPR today. Thanks!

Michelle leads the team that oversees station branding, marketing, events, communications, and audience services. She joined VPR in 2002.
