Thinking Of June And Of Jean

Welcoming in the summer months, and a dedication to the memory of Jean Ritchie, one of the greatest of the Appalachian balladeers, who died this week at the age of 92.

This program will air on Sunday, June 7th from 7 - 10 p.m.

Rick Redington and the Luv will perform at the Jackson Gore Music Series at Okemo Mountain on Friday June 12th. Admission is free and gates open at 5 pm

Deja-Nous will play at Leunig's Bistro in Burlington on Saturday June 13th  from 2 to 5 p.m. and on Sunday June 14th  from 1 to 4 p.m. 

Ace accordionist Gary Sredzienski returns to the Nelson Town Hall in Nelson, NH on Sunday, June 14th for a 7 p.m. concert.

Vermont musician Susie Smolen will hold a CD release celebration for her new recording: Made in America: Voices of Labor in Story & Song  on Saturday, June 13th at the Spice Studio, Rte. 100 South in Rochester.  Music begins at 7:30 p.m. 

Woodchucks Revenge will perform at the Brandon Town Hall on Saturday June 13th at 7 p.m. 

Lewis Franco and the Brown Eyed Girls will perform at the Whammy Bar in Calais on Saturday June 13th at 7:30 p.m.

Bill Staines will perform at the Meetinghouse Café  of the Unitarian Universalist Fellowship in Bennington on Friday, June 12th at 8 p.m.

Red Hot Juba will be playing at Sweet Melissa’s in Montpelier on Saturday June 13th at 9 p.m.

Sarah Lee Guthrie and Johnny Irion will perform at Café Lena in Saratoga Springs on Friday June 12th 

Robert Resnik has been the host of All the Traditions, Vermont Public's folk and world music show, since 1996. He is the winner of the 2019 Herb Lockwood Prize In the Arts, an honor that rewards the pinnacle of arts leadership in Vermont and is the recipient of the 2022 Margaret L Kannenstine Award for Arts Advocacy from the Vermont Council of the Arts.
