Time To Vote 2018: VPR's Last-Minute Guide To Vermont's Statewide Candidates

Oct 31, 2018

It's time to V-O-T-E! But not feeling super R-E-A-D-Y? Our voter guide will help you brush up on Vermont's statewide candidates in this general election.

The recent VPR - Vermont PBS Poll found that in a variety of the statewide races, about a fifth of respondents said they weren't sure who they'd vote for.

We know not everyone has the time and resources to follow along for months, so this guide provides a quick look at some of VPR's Campaign 2018 coverage (longform interviews! candidate debates!) and re-packages it for some quick-and-easy, down-to-the-wire reading.

Click on the offices listed above to go to the page to learn more about that statewide race. It's worth noting there will also be legislative races on your ballot, too — VTDigger's election guide is a place to turn for Vermont House and Senate candidate information.

As you look at each of the candidates listed in our guide, you'll see we've noted their thoughts on a few different issues based on our conversations with them. Now, few is the key word — this isn't comprehensive of every single thing they think, but the idea is to give you a primer and point you to where you can find more info before filling out your ballot.

Mark your calendars: Vermont's 2018 general election is Tuesday, Nov. 6.
