Vermont Secretary of State's Office
Vermonters can now register to vote online, but the deadline to register to vote on the August 9 primary is 5 p.m. on August 3.

Wednesday, Aug. 3 is the last day to register to vote in Vermont's primary on Aug. 9. The good news is, you can register online right now. Vermonters can also use the state's online voter registration system to change the name and/or address on their current voter registration record.

Primary elections are being held in cities and towns around the state on Tuesday, Aug. 9. Polls will be open throughout the day, until 7 p.m.

Residents can also register to vote in person at their local town or city clerk's office. Like online registration, the deadline to register in person is 5 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 3 in order to vote in the Aug. 9 primary.
