Vermont International Film Festival Returns

The Vermont International Film Festival returns to  Burlington October 11th through the 2oth.

38 feature films and 40 short films will be shown at multiple locations.

Food and Sports are among the themes of this year's films.

VTIFF Executive Director Orly Radin says the Festival has partnered with a number of restaurants to host film-related events.

And the festival opens with The Crash Reel, a documentary about Vermont snowboarder Kevin Pearce, and his recovery from serious injuries.

There will also be a special Vermont Filmmaker's Showcase.

VPR's Neal Charnoff speaks with Fesitval Executive Director Orly Radin.

Neal was a reporter and VPR's All Things Considered host from 2001 to 2014. He joined VPR in 1996, hosting VPR's jazz programming, including live performances from the VPR studios and the Discover Jazz Festival. Prior to VPR, Neal was a programmer and host for WNCS in Montpelier and WDEV in Waterbury. He holds a B.A. from Sarah Lawrence College.
