Vermont's Emergency Housing Picture

Vermont has seen the number of homeless individuals and families steadily decline over the last few years.

The number of homeless individuals and families in Vermont has been dropping steadily and the state has increased the amount of emergency housing for those in need.

But the flip side is that there is still a need for temporary and transitional shelter in Vermont. And the number of individuals and families needing shelter because of domestic violence has not dropped.

We speak with Vermont Department for Children and Families Deputy Secretary Sean Brown and Peter Kellerman of John Graham Housing & Services about Vermont's homeless picture.

Also on the program, TJ Donovan will become Vermont's first new Attorney General since 1997. He discusses his plans for the office.

Broadcast live on Wednesday, November 16, 2016 at noon; rebroadcast at 7 p.m.
