Vt. HIV/AIDS Clinics Mark 25th Year

This week marks both National HIV Testing Day and the 25th Anniversary of the Vermont HIV/AIDS Comprehensive Care Clinics. Since the 1980s, there have been many improvements in the treatment of HIV/AIDS, however, obstacles still remain.

Dr. Christopher Grace founded the Comprehensive Care Clinics. And Deborah Kutzko is a Nurse Practitioner at Fletcher Allen who specializes in HIV/AIDS treatment. They spoke with Vermont Edition about the work of the clinics and how treatment for HIV/AIDS has changed through the years.

Jane Lindholm is the host, executive producer and creator of But Why: A Podcast For Curious Kids. In addition to her work on our international kids show, she produces special projects for Vermont Public. Until March 2021, she was host and editor of the award-winning Vermont Public program Vermont Edition.
