If you’re headed out to eat at an unfamiliar restaurant, you might check Yelp, or TripAdvisor for tips from previous patrons about what to order, or where to park. But if you’re a person with a disability, it can be difficult to get information about accessibility. Does the business have a ramp? Is there handicapped parking? That’s where a new Vermont website, Accessible Adventures comes in.
Peter Kriff is the Executive Director of the Vermont Statewide Independent Living Council. They created the site. He talked with Vermont Edition about how it works.
