Three Dartmouth College professors are under criminal investigation for alleged sexual misconduct, according to a news release from the college.

The New Hampshire Attorney General, New Hampshire State Police and other law enforcement agencies have launched a criminal investigation of three members of the Dartmouth College faculty.

Burlington Police are investigating after an apartment building was shot multiple times in the early hours of Thursday morning. No one inside was injured in the shooting.

University of Vermont Police arrested a man after he allegedly exposed his genitals and also touched women at the university’s library, according to an email sent to students Thursday.

On Monday, the U.S. Supreme Court chose to hear a case over whether email providers must comply with government search warrants, even if the messages in question are stored outside the country. The state of Vermont is taking a central role in the case.

A 70-year-old woman is dead and her son is in custody after New Hampshire police responded to reports of an active shooter Tuesday at the Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center in Lebanon, N.H.

Members of the Vermont State Police Tactical Services Unit shot and killed a 32-year-old man at his home in Poultney Friday morning, according to a release from Vermont State Police.

Republican Gov. Phil Scott said the Vermont State Police will not be seeking any armored vehicles or other heavy-duty equipment from the U.S. military after President Donald Trump eased restrictions on police departments earlier this week.

Burlington's police chief is calling on the city council to pass a new ordinance that would create criminal penalties for people who repeatedly commit civil offenses, such as disorderly conduct or public urination. Critics say the plan would have the effect of criminalizing people who struggle with homelessness or mental illness.

A Burlington man has been directing a barrage of racist emails to members of the Vermont Legislature.

In 2014, Gregory Zullo was pulled over for having part of his license plate covered. The state trooper said he smelled marijuana in the car and towed the car. The Vermont ACLU sued the state and is appealing the case to the Vermont Supreme Court.

Thetford Academy Student Charged With Sexually Assaulting 5 Classmates

A 16-year-old Thetford Academy student has pleaded not guilty to seven felony counts of sexual assault against five different female classmates, according to documents filed in Orange Superior Court.

The governor signed two bills on Tuesday that extend protections for victims of sexual assault and domestic violence. Some of the changes have been long in coming for the advocates who work on these issues.

Late Friday night, the jury in the case against former state senator Norm McAllister found him guilty of one count of prohibited acts and acquitted on charges of sexual assault and a second count of prohibited acts. 

Vermont State Police are investigating the death of 59-year-old Cindy Cook of Barre after her body was found next to a dirt road in Middlesex Wednesday evening. According to preliminary autopsy results, Cook’s death was a homicide. A cause of death has yet to be determined.
